Fabrizio Caldarelli
Fabrizio Caldarelli nasce a Roma il 28 agosto 1965. Autodidatta, disegna e dipinge fin dall'adolescenza, occupandosi poi in maniera sempre più approfondita di storia antica e medievale. Conseguita la maturità, lavora dal 1986 al 1989 come grafico ed illustratore; continua poi in proprio l'attività di illustratore e partecipa a varie mostre di pittura, lavorando inoltre come realizzatore di mosaici romani, decorazioni e trompe l'oeil. Dal 1990 si dedica anche ad audiovisivi e musica, realizzando video e multivisioni per scenografie. Il fulcro della sua attività attuale sono comunque i lavori legati ai suoi studi relativi alla storia di Roma e delle civiltà dell'Europa e del Vicino Oriente dall'età del bronzo al basso medioevo, incentrati in particolare su usanze e ambientazioni nonché sulla progettazione e realizzazione di ricostruzioni, reali e in scala. Le pubblicazioni e alcuni dei dipinti sono invece disponibili su richiesta. Fabrizio Caldarelli was born in Rome on 28th august 1965. Self-taught, he began drawing and painting in his adolescence, then actively occupying himself with ancient and medieval history. After passing his lyceum school-leaving exams, he worked from 1986 to 1989 as a graphic designer and illustrator, he then independently continued his activity of illustration and painting exhibitions. He also worked on the realization of roman mosaics, decorations and trompe l'oeils. Since 1995 he also worked with audio-visual media and music, creating multivision scenography for performances and videos. The fulcrum of his activity remains his studies relatives to the history of Rome and the civilizations of Europe and the Middle East from the bronze age to the low middle ages, particularly centred on ancient customs and reconstructions of ancient objects.
